If you live in Matthews, you know that the wildlife loves a cozy space to nest…especially in the attics of homes. I was the lucky (🙃) recipient of both squirrels AND a fat raccoon. Ron came and set to work, setting up cameras, doing reconnaissance and getting the varmints outta there. They weren’t happy about being evicted, but I was delighted. The work comes with a warranty…and they mean it. Recently a pernicious raccoon broke through the barrier Ron set up and wreaked havoc. He came back and attended to business, at no extra charge. Thank you Ron, for your professionalism and effort. If you have a varmint in your house, I highly recommended this business.

I was hearing pitter patter and “scratching” on my roof and wanted to believe it was just a squirrel taking a stroll across my roof. Well, it turned out that we had a Mommy Raccoon residing in an unfinished area of our attic! I called three different companies to come out and take a look. The first company rescheduled their initial inspection three times, so I gave up on them. The gentleman from the second company was perfectly fine, seemingly knew what he was talking about, etc. but he inspected the roof and attics of our 5500 SF plus home for less than 15 minutes! The third company- Arthur Poyssick from Varmint Gone in Cornelius, came out and inspected the roof and attic for well OVER an hour. After his inspection, he presented photos of where Mrs.Raccoon was accessing the attic and several places where squirrels had chewed through various areas at the construction gaps which create the holes where both squirrels AND raccoons can (and do) enter. He clearly described the process they use to eradicate the problem. He showed me the heavy gauge metal they use to seal up the construction gaps which are all along the roof line of the house (these gaps are allowable and meet acceptable building code in the southern states) and the method used to install the metal. He explained that they place humane, “one way” traps and monitor the traps for as long as it takes to ensure that all of the “tenants” have vacated. After the sealing of the house and removal of the animals, they sanitize and disinfect the affected areas. At the end of initial inspection appointment, I told him I would think it over and let him know. He did not attempt to push me or try to “sell” me or employ any scare tactics bout the raccoons taking over my house, etc.. He started on a Tuesday and worked through the weekend and into the next week to complete the job. Arthur was an excellent communicator, thorough, neat and knew what he was doing. The office staff was communicative and professional. I am very pleased with the job they did and highly recommend them. (Goodbye Mrs. Raccoon and good luck out there:)!

Ron is the man. He really knows not just how to get rid of animals, but make sure they don’t come back. We had raccoons and squirrels and it was pretty messy. We had active raccoons (with babies) in our attic. Ron also discovered an old big squirrel nest with a couple of long-dead squirrels. He removed all and cleaned up the mess. I was informed every step of the way. It took many visits to take care of the situation and then seal all entry points. The 5-year warranty gives me some peace of mind. I could not be more satisfied with the work, the scheduling, the office and onsite personnel.

I cannot say enough about the amazing service I received from Ron Q. and Varmint Gone. No one wants to ever be in the position to need services such as this, but trust me when I say that when you have a raccoon in your attic, you don’t want to get the run around from companies looking to take advantage. From beginning to end I felt I was in good hands. Ron was excellent at communication, treated me with respect, and followed through on the plan to get me raccoon free as quickly and permanently as possible. We had 3 raccoons in our attic, Ron came out to do the work of allowing the animals to leave on their own using a one way door, and making sure to cover all possible future entry point with sheet metal so I won’t have the problem again. Lastly they paint the sheet metal to match the trim on the house. They provide a 5 year warranty, but with the preventive care, I’m guessing I won’t need it but it does provide peace of mind. Could not of ask for a more professional experience. Ron keeped me informed the entire time, and showed up when he said he would. If you have a animal problem, don’t call anyone else.
